Sri Lanka is famous for its big 5 – Elephant, Leopard, Sloth Bear, Blue Whale and Sperm Whale. We arrange a private safari to the island kingdom to witness the big 5 and photograph them. Close proximity to Continental shelf makes it easy for us to spot blue and sperm whales colonies from Mirissa. For the largest mammal on land – Elephants we will visit Udawalawe national park located in the foot hills of central highlands. Yala national park is well known for Leopard and Sloth bear spotting. For an authentic safari experience, we will be camping inside the Udawalawe and Yala national parks using shift able tents.
Welcome to Colombo, capital of the island kingdom of Sri Lanka. Our representative will receive you at the airport. We will leave for Udawalawe national park (4 hours drive). After checking in at Udawalawe Safari Camp inside the National Park, enjoy a Sri Lankan Rice and curry lunch. We will go for our first safari at noon to spot Wild Asian Elephants and many bird species. We stay overnight at our camping site inside Udawalawe National Park.
Our morning safari starts with sunrise. For breakfast we come back to camping site and take some rest. We leave for noon safari after Lunch. Back to the camp we take some rest and enjoy BBQ dinner and overnight stay in our tents inside Udawalawe National Park.
Today we have a morning safari at Udawalawe National Park, our last at this destination. After breakfast at the camp we check out and leave for Yala National Park (3 hours drive) and have Lunch after check in. Our first safari at Yala National Park is after lunch. We stay at the camping site inside Yala National Park.
Today we have a full day safari in Yala National Park to see Sloth Bears, Leopards and Elephants from 6 AM to 6 PM. We will have with picnic breakfast and lunch inside the park at designated spots. Back to the camp we have some rest and BBQ dinner before we go for overnight rest.
We take a morning safari at Yala National Park at 6 AM. After breakfast at camping site we check out and leave for Mirissa(3 hours drive) where we stay at Paradise Beach Club, Mirissa. Take good rest after dinner as we have to leave for whale watching early morning.
AWe leave for spotting the largest mammal on earth – Blue whale and its cousin Sperm whale off the coast of Mirissa. We carry our packed breakfast with us. You can relax by the beach and visit historical Galle Fort and other local attractions in late afternoon/early evening. Dinner and overnight stay in Paradise Beach Club in Mirissa
Early morning, we leave for our second Whale watching trip off the coast of Mirissawith a picnic breakfast and return to the shore by 12 noon. We leave for Colombo (3 hours drive) en-route visiting Stilt fishermen trying to make their daily catch sitting on the poles over water. Our trip ends in Colombo, you can indulge in some shopping or relax at the casino before catching your flight back home.
